Biography
Nellie "Tiger" Travis is a beautiful woman with a sultry soul and blues voice. Originally hailing from the Delta in Mississippi, she now calls Chicago her home. Nellie has chosen to demonstrate her ample vocal talents in the highly competitive Chicago Blues scene, performing at venues such as Blue Chicago, Buddy Guys, Kingston Mines to name a few. To date she has opened for Recording artist such as, KoKo Taylor, Buddy Guy, B.B. King, Glady's Knight, Bobby Rush, Tyrone Davis, Denise Lasalle and many many more.
Nellie has standing engagements overseas and has performed in Greece since 1998. Her many travels includes performances in Germany, Italy, Brazil, and Lithuania. She also performs all over the south from Mississippi, North Carolina, Georgia, and Louisiana. She performs regularly in Chicago at the Famous Blue Chicago and has been for the last six years.
Nellie is a true DIVA and a hard working young lady. It is very clear that she is thriving toward that goal of success.
